About Catherine 

Catherine is an interpersonal and organizational communication consultant. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication and Business Administration from San Diego State University, and is an adjunct lecturer at both National University and ITT Technical Institute on the subjects of group dynamics, communication theory, public speaking and social psychology.

She has eight years experience in training, human resources management, marketing, and business development - experience she utilizes in her current consulting business. She currently works with Jackie and Kevin Freiberg (Freibergs.com) teaching public speaking at the US Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA, and frequently guest lectures at San Diego State University.

Catherine also has a special interest in workplace bullying, and recently presented research in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the 6th International Conference on Workplace Bullying. She will serve on a panel of workplace bullying experts at the Western States Communication Association conference in Februrary 2009. She continues to research and publish in this area and anticipates the release of her book in late 2010.

Catherine served many years as the Director of Education, Compliance & Business Development for a non-profit organization dedicated to personal financial management education, where she appeared on NBC, ABC, FOX, and other local news stations as the company spokesperson, and developed educational programs for both clients and internal training purposes. There she focused on customer service training, and customer relations geared toward customer satisfaction. Catherine also has more than seven years experience in Human Resources and ISO Quality Management Systems.
